It is required to be resistant to oxalic acid, sulfur- acid-ferric sulfate, nitrate acid and hydrofluoric acid, copper sulfate sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid etc.. Stainless steel is widely used in chemical engineering, food, medicine, paper making, oil and atomic energy, and construction, kitchen ware, tableware, vehicles, various components and parts of household appliances.
The plate has to be annealed, or done with solution treatment or aging treatment and so on to guarantee the yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, strength and other mechanical properties.
The corrosion resistance of stainless steel is attributed to its alloy element (chromium, nickel, titanium, silicon, aluminum, manganese etc.) and internal structure, but nickel plays the leading role in it. Nickel, with its amazing chemical stability, can form a passive film in the steel surface, which makes the steel separated and protected and thus increases its anti-corrosion property. However, once the film is destroyed and the corrosion resistance will be greatly sapped.
